The Great Social Media Revival: Shorter Than a TikTok Trend

Well, that didn’t last long. Less than 15 hours after reviving my dusty old Facebook, I’m officially out. Deactivated. Done. Turns out, my intention to create a space for me—to share my updates, humor, and sass for those who actually wanted to follow along—backfired. Instead, I was buried under a tidal wave of sympathy messages, unsolicited advice, and other people’s emotional baggage. Not what I signed up for.

To be clear: this wasn’t about fishing for pity or creating a public therapy session. It was supposed to be a simple platform to document “The Sequel No One Wanted.” But instead of finding support, I found chaos. So, I’m back to being a social media ghost.

For now, my Instagram survives the purge (barely). It’s small, manageable, and still functional. I’ll probably create a private space to share updates for those genuinely interested. Lesson learned: I came off social media for a reason, and I should have stayed off.

So, here’s the new plan: if you want updates, head to my blog. That’s where the real story lives—on my terms. Social media? Thanks, but no thanks.

Goodbye again, Facebook. We tried. We failed. See you never.
